Why Fiberglass?
1) The installation time for an in-ground fiberglass pool is considerably shorter than either vinyl liner installations or traditional concrete vessels. Generally speaking, most installations are complete (without patios/decking & deck features) within about 3-5 days. Compared to vinyl liner installations that take between 1-2 weeks or concrete pools that generally take numerous weeks to a couple of months to complete the installation of the pool vessel, many people prefer the quicker installation time frame of fiberglass pools.
2) While the day-to-day and week-to-week maintenance will be very comparable when compared to a vinyl lined in-ground pool, the real advantage to owning a fiberglass vessel is realized years down the road. With a fiberglass pool there is never a liner to replace, nor is there ever a surface to re-plaster or repaint as in a concrete swimming pool.
