More Than Just Relaxing...

A Spa Can Be Good for You!

Since the ancient Greeks, people have found natural healing powers in bubbling pools of hot water. The Romans, Greeks, Japanese, and other cultures have realized its many benefits to both mind and body. The heat, buoyancy, and massage found in the warm, soothing waters of a spa create an experience that is both relaxing and rejuvenating.

Whether it's to unwind from the complexities of ordinary life or to soothe sore muscles and joints caused by sports or minor strains, here's how hydro massage can make you feel better - naturally

Relaxation and Stress Reduction

Stress has an adverse effect on health - the heart works harder, breathing becomes more rapid and shallow, and digestion slows. Nearly every process of the body is degraded. Researchers have estimated that nearly 80% of disease is stress-related.

A Better Night's Sleep

According to a study in the scientific journal Sleep, a drop in body temperature can help ease your body into a deeper, more relaxing sleep.

Soothes Aches and Pains

Many physicians and physical therapists recognize the value of a spa as an ideal environment for rehabilitation therapy.

Arthritis Relief

The Arthritis Foundation recognizes the benefits of hydro massage and warm water exercise to help relieve arthritis pain. A spa can provide the warmth, massage, and buoyancy needed to both relax and exercise joints and muscles in the convenience and comfort of your own backyard. Relaxed muscles create an overall feeling of comfort which can then make it easier to perform exercises and carry out daily tasks. A morning soak in a spa can provide temporary relief from arthritis pain and help you feel better throughout the day. Soaking in a spa:

Type 2 Diabetes

A study reported in the New England Journal of Medicine indicates that soaking in a spa can help ease symptoms of diabetes for people affected by Type 2 Diabetes. Persons with that disease who spent half an hour daily in a spa for three weeks reduced their blood sugar levels, as the heat dilated their blood vessels, blood flow improved, and the body made better use of its insulin (the hormone that converts blood sugar into energy).
